Aqua Creatures is an offline freshwater aquarium species flashcard app. It uses a bundled content pack and images stored inside the app. The current version can be used without an account, and optional account sync lets you transfer favorite species between devices. It does not show ads or track users.
Species content, flashcards, and bundled image attribution are stored locally in the app package. If you choose account sync, Aqua Creatures stores your Firebase account identifier and favorite species IDs so those favorites can be restored on another device. Apple or Google sign-in may provide Firebase Auth with an email address or Apple private relay address for authentication. Username/password accounts use a private synthetic email namespace instead of asking for your real email address.
Content updates are disabled in the current release candidate. If content updates are enabled in a future release, the app may contact the published content-pack host to check for a newer species database. That request is used only for app functionality.
Account sync is optional. You can sign in with Apple, Google, or a username and password to sync favorite species. To delete a sync account, open Account sync and tap Delete account. The app asks you to reauthenticate, then removes the Firebase account and synced favorite species data from the developer-managed sync system.
Apple-linked accounts revoke the Apple OAuth authorization code when available during deletion. Local favorites stay on the device unless you remove them in the app or delete the app from the device.
The optional one-time Full Catalog unlock is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), with receipt validation by RevenueCat. Only purchase receipt data — purchase identifiers and transaction metadata — is processed by those providers. The free species stay free, and your favorites and sync data are never shared with them.
